The Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP) is pleased to invite proposals for programs for the year 2027 (from March 2027 to February 2028).

The APCTP is an international scientific organization which pursues the highest quality research in all areas of theoretical physics and promotes cooperation among scientists from its member countries, the Asia Pacific regions, and beyond. Australia, via the AIP, is proud to be a founding member of the APCTP.

Proposals and feedback from the scientific community are crucial for determining activities of APCTP, and the selected proposals will constitute its core activities in 2027.

Proposals are sought for programs in the following categories:

• 0 - Conferences and Workshops
• 1 - Conferences, Workshops and Schools
• 2- Focus (Intensive) Programs
• 3 - Topical Research Programs
• 4 - International and Joint Acitivites (outside Korea)

Kindly note the following:

• All applications should be submitted through the APCTP online application system at www.apctp.org
• The online application will be open only from August 1 to September 30, 2026, until 6:00 p.m. KST.
• Applications for Category-4 programs, which are held exclusively in the 20 member countries/regions, should be accompanied by a supporting letter issued by a General Council member representing each member country/region. 
• Australian applicants seeking a letter of support from the AIP should first contact the Theoretical Physics Group (TPG) secretary Murray Batchelor via aip@aip.org.au.
