Congress

The AIP runs biennial Congresses to bring the Australian Physics community together.  A new host is chosen each time, and the program committee draws heavily on input from the topical groups.

The 2016 AIP Congress was held in Brisbane, in conjunction with the 13th Asia-Pacific Physics Conference.  Statistics of the attendees and presenters can be found here.

The 2014 AIP Congress was held in Canberra.
The 2012 AIP Congress was held in Sydney.
The 2010 AIP Congress was held in Melbourne.
The 2008 AIP Congress was held in Adelaide.
The 2006 AIP Congress was held in Brisbane.
The 2005 AIP Congress was held in Canberra.
The 2002 AIP Congress was held in Sydney.
The 2000 AIP Congress was held in Adelaide.
The 1998 AIP Congress was held in Perth.
The 1996 AIP Congress was held in Hobart.
The 1994 AIP Congress was held in Brisbane.
The 1992 AIP Congress was held in Melbourne.
The 1990 AIP Congress was planned for Perth but was cancelled, due to transport problems.
The 1988 AIP Congress was held in Sydney.

The 1974 AIP Congress was held in Adelaide.
